The Dover Police Department arrested two Michigan men for carrying a variety of illegal drugs at the Firefly Music Festival on Friday.
Undercover officers purchased MDMA, better known as "Molly," from 31-year-old Daniel Wood of Jackson, Michigan, and 39-year-old Dion McPherson of Ann Arbor, Michigan, at the festival's campgrounds.
After the purchased substance tested positive for Mephedrone, also known as "Bath Salts," the two were arrested.
Police proceeded to find a number of other illegal drugs in the two men's possession, including 225 doses of LSD, 30 grams of marijuana, and nearly 60 grams of psychedelic mushrooms.
In addition to the drugs, officers seized $3,397 in cash, suspected to be money from selling the drugs. The two men have been charged with possession of the numerous substances and second-degree conspiracy.
Wood and McPherson were committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in New Castle County and are being held on a $100,000 cash bond.
Despite the prevalence of drugs at festivals like Firefly, Dover Police had attempted a new tactic for this year's festival, making an amnesty box available at the event's entrance where concert goers could drop off illegal substances without fear of repercussions.
