More than a dozen Jewish Community Centers across the country and several in the region, including one in Wilmington and another in Cherry Hill, received bomb threats on Monday morning spurring police investigations.
In Wynnewood, Montgomery County, the Perelman Jewish Day School also received a bomb threat, according to a 6ABC tweet.
The threats come one day after a call reporting that hundreds of tombstones were toppled over in an act of vandalism at a Jewish cemetery in Philadelphia and a week since 11 Jewish community centers across the country received bomb threats, though all of the cases were determined to be hoaxes.
A total of 54 Jewish community centers have received such threats since the start of the year.

According to the New Castle County and Cherry Hill Township police departments, authorities were at the scene of the respective community centers shortly after receiving reports of the threats on Monday.
The Siegel JCC said on its Facebook page that everyone was safe and had been temporarily evacuated. By 11:30 a.m., the facilities were cleared by police and programs at the JCC were resuming, the center said.
