Philadelphia police are investigating after an employee with the department of parks and recreation found a body Friday morning in Fairmount Park.
Authorities said the employee discovered the body around 8:20 a.m. near the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and Black Road.

The body was found wrapped in a green tarp and was already partially decomposed, police said.
There was no word on the gender or apparent age of the victim.
An investigation remains ongoing.
