Police say they have arrested a man in connection with recent bomb threats at three Delaware County stores.
Dennis Beck, 50, was arrested for the bomb threats made to the Walmart, Rite Aid and Family Dollar stores in the Boothwyn section of Upper Chichester on Friday, Saturday and Monday, according to authorities.
Officers from the Upper Chichester Police Department responded Monday to the Family Dollar in the Willowbrook Shopping Center, where a bomb threat was received by phone at about 7:30 p.m. It was the third bomb threat in three days in Boothwyn.
Shoppers and employees at the nearby Walmart store in the Larkin Corner Shopping Center on Conchester Highway were ordered to evacuate the store after a threat was phoned Friday night in at about 9:30. Early Saturday morning, officials gave the scene the "all clear."
A day later, at around 6 p.m. at the same store, a man and woman walked into the Walmart, announced a bomb threat, then left.
Beck is charged with threats to use weapons of mass destruction and related charges.
