A Point Breeze beer garden has popped back up after a short shutdown by the city over zoning issues.

The Point Breeze Pop-Up Garden, a 35,000-square-foot lot at 1622 Point Breeze Avenue, had originally opened on May 16 before it was shut down on Wednesday after receiving a cease and desist letter from the Philadelphia's Licenses & Inspections Department.

Then, on Friday, after a 3.5-hour hearing before Municipal Court Judge Nina Wright Padilla, owner John Longacre emerged with a temporary victory, the Inquirer reports. Despite L&I's claim that the Pop-Up lacked proper zoning, the judge ruled that Longacre was denied due process and the venue should be permitted to operate while he obtains a zoning change and pursues other remedies.

A grand re-opening is set for Saturday from noon to 11 p.m.
