"War for the Planet of the Apes," sequel to the 2014 film "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" and the third installment in the "Planet of the Apes" reboot series, will hit theaters everywhere July 14.
The film's synopsis reads:
Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.
To celebrate the upcoming film, which has already gained critical praise, Twentieth Century Fox Film is offering audiences a chance to watch "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" and the new film all in 3-D on Wednesday, July 12.
The triple feature starts at 4 p.m. in select theaters. Tickets are around $25-$26.
The film is rated PG-13.
