Pink's Walk of Fame star unveiled in Hollywood

Ellen Degeneres and Kerry Kenny-Silver presented the honor to Doylestown native

Doylestown-native Alecia Beth Moore, better known as multi-platinum, pop-star Pink, officially has a home on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Last month, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced the singer would be awarded her own star on the famous boulevard. Ellen DeGeneres and Kerry Kenny-Silver were on hand during Tuesday's ceremony to unveil it.

During a speech to accept the honor, Pink, 39, spoke about the realization of a lesson her father first shared with her, quoting Shakespeare: "To thine own self, be true."

"There's a power in believing in yourself. There's a power in not giving up on life, and on not giving up on yourself," she said.

"While you might not be the best that ever did it, while you might not be the prettiest, or the tallest, or the most talented, or whatever it is your tell yourself that you're not, if you're stubborn, and you don't give up, and you work really hard, no one else can ever be you."

She also joked to her husband, Corey Hart, saying, "He's my muse, and if he didn't piss me off all the time, I'd have not much to say. Thank you. I literally would not be standing up here if it weren't for you, so never change. Even though the theme is: change."

The honor comes about 19 years after Pink released her debut album, "Can't Take Me Home," in 2000.
