Lincoln Financial Field is in the midst of a transformation.
The field is currently being converted into an ice rink for the 2019 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series when the Philadelphia Flyers will host the Pittsburgh Penguins. The face off will take place Saturday, Feb. 23 at 8 pm.
Players from the Philadelphia Flyers and Philadelphia Eagles visited the Linc, Friday, to check out the progress.
Here are some photos and a preview of the conversion from field to rink.
Lincoln Financial Field is being transformed into an ice rink for the 2019 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series. Some of the work on the cooling system was done by the Steamfitters local union 420 to keep the ice frozen.
