Philadelphia nun and Little Flower High School teacher Sister Kimberly Miller won’t be returning to class this school year.
According to Philly.com, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia has opted to keep a substitute teacher in her place at least until next school year.
This year’s school year ends June 17. Her teaching status for the 2016-17 school year will be decided later by the Office of Catholic Education, Philly.com said.
Miller was found guilty on April 20 of drunken driving in a November 2015 incident in South Jersey.
During last month’s hearing, her driving privileges in New Jersey were suspended for 90 days, the minimum sentence for a first-offense conviction, and she was ordered to pay fines and fees of about $650.
Since the incident, Miller has been on administrative leave from her job as a librarian and teacher at Little Flower High School.
