Once again, the city will honor David Bowie, who died January 2016, with Philly Loves Bowie Week.
From Friday, Jan. 4, through Sunday, Jan. 13, local venues will host special events centered around the music icon. Places like Blue Cross RiverRink, Johnny Brenda's and PFS Roxy Theater are participating.

Friday, Jan. 4: Bowie Masquerade Ball
The dance party at the Ruba Club in Northern Liberties starts at 10 p.m. DJs will spin Bowie hits through the night.
There will be a costume contest, free snacks and a glitter bar, too. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
Sunday, Jan. 6: Philly Loves Bowie Quizzo
Test your knowledge on the legendary singer-songwriter at Doobies Bar in Rittenhouse. There will be prizes for the winners.
Monday, Jan. 7: BowieOke
Perform your own tribute to the Starman at Johnny Brenda's. Karaoke starts at 8 p.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 9: Screening of "The Sigma Kids"
Head to the PFS Roxy Theater for a special screening of the documentary about Bowie's time in Philadelphia and the fans who waited for him outside Sigma Sound Studios. Tickets are $8, and the screening is BYOB.
Sunday, Jan. 13: A Snowy Bowie Skate
At Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest there will be a family-friendly celebration in honor of the musician. Ice skate to Bowie music. Get your face painted like Ziggy Stardust. Watch "Labyrinth" in The Lodge, as well as concert footage.
