Authorities and health officials have identified a man found injured and unresponsive in a residential section of West Philadelphia last month.
Police had requested help from the public to identify the man. Police announced that the family ultimately came forward with information that has not been disclosed.
A spokesperson for Penn Medicine said Friday the man was discovered near the corner of 62nd Street and Grays Avenue around 2 a.m. on Saturday, July 9.
He was believed to be wearing maroon and tan shorts and a tan, maroon and navy blue patterned shirt when he was found.
Penn described the man as follows: 5 feet 10 inches tall, 186 pounds, African-American, brown eyes, bald on the top of his head with gray hair on the sides and back, no identifiable tattoos, appears to be in his 50s.
