The January 2016 ambush shooting of Philadelphia Police Officer Jesse Hartnett appeared on a White House-issued list of 78 Islamic State-inspired incidents that the president deemed as insufficiently reported on by the media.
According to The Associated Press, President Donald Trump accused the media of “deliberately minimizing coverage” of the later tallied incidents during a visit on Monday before military leaders and troops at the headquarters for U.S. Central Command.
At the time he spoke, the list had not yet been released by the White House. It was distributed soon after, at which time the White House clarified that "most" on the list did not get sufficient media attention, although it did not explain how it defined the term, according to the AP. The incidents on the list go back to 2014.

On the mention of the Philadelphia incident, John McNesby, president of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5, said in an interview with Philly.com on Monday that he thought the shooting was covered "fairly."
