The 2016 Philly Art & Food event will kick off on Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. This is the second year the event has gathered chefs together to create artist-inspired dishes and drinks.
Chefs were asked to look to Taller Puertorriqueño, a local Latino arts organization, for inspiration. Taller was created in 1974 to elevate and preserve Puerto Rican and Latino culture.
The 2016 participating chefs and restaurants include:
• Angela Ranalli Cicala (Brigantessa and Le Virtu)
• Maranda Burns (Vedge)
• Malik Ali (Neuf Restaurant)
• Marqessa Gesualdi (pastry chef)
• Ange Branca (Saté Kampar)
• Jennifer Zavala (chef)
• Alex Boonphaya (Circles Thai)
• Jess Gaspero (The Farm & Fisherman)
• Ted Torres (Coa Catering)
• Stephanie Musick (The Valley Green Inn)
• Adam Diltz (Johnny Brenda’s)
• Adan Trinidad (Sancho Pistola's and Jose Pistola's)
• Eric Leveillee and Alex Busch (Whetstone Tavern)
Tickets for the event, where attendees can enjoy unlimited samples, are $55 per person.
Besides the array of food, there will be a pop-up coffee lounge and themed cocktails, festive music, a pop-up Taller art gallery, raffle baskets and a "Sponsor-a-Student" doughnut decorating station.
