Handed out annually, the awards "foster and promote the educational values of sportsmanship, the arts and health to individuals in Philadelphia," city officials said. The program is a non-profit corporation that was established jointly by the Mayor's Office and City Council.
Few guidelines are provided, but funds are reserved for non-profit organizations based in the city.
The deadline to submit an application is May 1.
