Monday evening certainly did not go the way Phillies fans wanted. The Diamondbacks defeated the Fightins, the first potential close-out game loss of the Rob Thomson era, forcing a winner-take-all Game 7 on Tuesday night. Anxiety will be high throughout the Delaware Valley and some Phils fans caught on the news after that Game 6 defeat were getting their emotions out.
One such fans who looks destined to go down in wild Phillies fan lore seems unbothered by that Game 6 loss and could not be more amped for Game 7:
I envy his energy.
Another fan, Mark Ford from Northeast Philly, is right in his disappointment from Monday, but is all in for a Game 7 victory:
No one wants to work after a Phillies loss! A Game 7 win can make those poor memories from a blown Game 6.
There was a noticeable lack of energy in Game 6 at Citizens Bank Park. Perhaps that was because of the strange 5:07 p.m. start time and the Phillies quickly going down in a 3-0 hole, but that's unacceptable for a crowd atmosphere that's been praised as one of the best in all of sports this fall:
If Phils fans channel the vibes of those previous two gentlemen in Game 7, the odds of partying on Broad Street on Tuesday night will go up exponentially.
