U-Haul has joined U.S. News & World Report, Travel + Leisure and others in granting Philadelphia another title as a destination city.
The City of Brotherly Love came out at the top of the moving and storage giant's recently released list of the "Top 50 U.S. Destination Cities for 2016," beating out others like Los Angeles and Manhattan.

Philly took the No. 8 spot, maintaining its position from 2015.
U-Haul, which operates in all 50 states and 10 Canadian provinces, organized its list based on its own migration data. The company analyzed all the one-way arriving truck rentals in the last year to find each city's ranking.
"Destination cities reflect the volume and regularity of do-it-yourself movers coming into a community," the company said in its report released late last month.
Philly is home to 14 U-Haul stores and close to 37 independent neighborhood dealers. The company said Philly saw a close to 3 percent increase in U-Haul arrivals last year.
"Philly hasn’t always had the best reputation, but the word is out that it is truly a destination,” said Gerald Solarski, U-Haul Company of North Philadelphia president in a statement. “Businesses are moving into the city. Furthermore, I have firsthand experience seeing the business growth."
It makes sense. Travel + Leisure Magazine did name Philly in its "50 Best Places to Travel in 2017" earlier this year while U.S. News and World Report named the City of Brotherly Love as the second best U.S. vacation destination last week. Philly also made its way on U.S. News and World Report's list of "2017's Best Places to Live."
