The underwhelming and predictable result of Super Bowl LIII was not lost on anyone who watched Sunday night's game and found themselves waiting for each commercial break.
A year ago, not just Philadelphia, but the entire NFL world saw one of the league's most thrilling offensive duals ever in a championship game, as the Eagles took down the Pats 41-33. This year, we clapped for a record-breaking punt. The Patriots have now won a third of this decade's Super Bowls.
Sunday's game generated a torrent of funny complaints and jeers on Twitter, and since we can't celebrate another Eagles victory this year, the best we can do is enjoy some references to the far superior game that was played last year on this exact day.

This Super Bowl sucks so much we should cancel it and let the Eagles be reigning champs for another year.

If both teams are bad the Philadelphia Eagles remain Super Bowl champions for another year, that's the rule

Yes, last night's Super Bowl was probably the worst in history. But comparing it to last year's Super Bowl is also a bit unfair.

While we are Eagles fans, Super Bowl 52 is one of the 5 greatest Super Bowls in NFL history, maybe Top-3. It was THAT entertaining. https://t.co/vGZRb1NwkL
