The new central plaza dining area of the Main Concourse will bring a "bistro-meets-marketplace" design to the expanded space, resembling Philadelphia's historic public markets. With 4,000 square feet of additional space, the "open hall" concept will offer abundant seating and screens to take in the game.
About 15,000 square feet of LED technology will be spread throughout the concourses on every level.
Fans will also find a wider selection of casual and more upscale dining options. The lineup includes P.J. Whelihan’s, Lorenzo’s Pizza, Shake Shack, Chickie’s & Pete’s, Federal Donuts, Campo’s, Chick-fil-A and more to be announced.
One of the more interesting newcomers will be a “grab & go” craft beer boutique carrying local brews. In the lower bowl of the arena, the renovation calls for 8,000 new seats to replace the old "Spectrum Red" seats in the lower bowl. That accounts for about 40 percent of the arena's existing capacity.
The next round planned renovations are set to be completed by fall 2019 and into 2020.
