Another year, another leaked rumor that the Philadelphia Eagles will face the Minnesota Vikings in a primetime matchup.
Appearing Wednesday on the Sports Illustrated Media Podcast, "Sports Business Journal" reporter John Ourand said the Eagles and Vikings are "in play" for a game in Minnesota on Thanksgiving night.

Well before the start of last season, a rumor surfaced that the Eagles would be opening their season at home against the Vikings in an NFC Championship Game rematch. When the schedule came out, it was actually the Falcons at home to start the season and the Vikings in Week 5.
When Ourand says "in play," you have to figure none of this is quite set in stone yet.
Over the last decade or so, the Eagles have had Thanksgiving games against the Cardinals (a blowout victory in 2008, followed by the Arizona beating Philly in the NFC Championship Game), the Cowboys (a win in 2014, followed by three crushing losses) and the Lions (a pathetically depressing loss in 2015, followed by the end of Chip Kelly).
This time around, it's probably best to treat Eagles-Vikings on Thanksgiving as a possibility rather than a lock.
