Philadelphia Eagles player Beau Allen visited Martin Luther King High School in the city's East Germantown neighborhood on Wednesday to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday and Read Across America Day.
During the event, Allen and the Eagles Youth Partnership’s Storybook Man read books by Dr. Seuss to 6- and 7-year-olds from West Oak Lane Charter School. Sponsor Santander Bank donated more than 3,000 books to be distributed to at-risk youth in the area by the Philadelphia Reads organization.
