A niche event is coming to Philly this spring. The Philadelphia Beard Festival will take place on April 22 at The Schmidt's Commons.
"This is an opportunity to meet, bond and enjoy the brotherhood of beard lovers," according to the event description.
Those with beards are invited to show off their facial hair, enter an "Epic Beard" contest and check out the goods from beard grooming vendors.
All – beard or no beard – can enjoy craft beer, whiskey tastings, lawn games and live music.
There's also something called "Beard Speed Dating," for anyone trying to pick up a new friend with fancy facial hair.
Tickets are $15 for general admission or $25 for a whiskey and cigar package.
