Phila Flea Market to set up outside Eastern State Penitentiary

Spend a day shopping in Fairmount

Eastern State Penitentiary on Fairmount Avenue was built in 1829 and is open to the public as a U.S. National Historic Landmark.

Outside Eastern State Penitentiary on Saturday, May 6, the Phila Flea Market will set up vendor tables. There will be more than 150 vendors surrounding the historic prison.

Attendees to the outdoor shopping event will find furniture, art, vintage goods, jewelry and more trinkets among the mix.

Those who want to also visit Eastern State while in the neighborhood can head into the historic site beginning at 10 a.m. General admission tickets are $14 per person, with discounts available for children, students and seniors.

Parking is available in an adjacent lot for a fee.

The market will will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. If it rains, the flea market will take place on Sunday, May 7.
