A Pennsylvania wedding reception that devolved into a street brawl on Saturday night resulted in several injuries and the arrest of one guest.
The fight at a fire department banquet hall in Hellertown Borough, near Bethlehem, started around 8 p.m., authorities told the Associated Press, which reported an apparent domestic dispute resulted in a woman being dragged into the parking lot.
A number of wedding guests ran outside to help the woman and several fisticuffs broke out in the street, the AP reported. It said four of the dozens of guests who became involved were injured and taken to local hospitals.
One man, identified as Scott Anthony Brockel, 25, of Allentown, was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and other counts, according to court papers. He allegedly assaulted several guests who were trying to help the woman who was dragged outside.
Brockel was arraigned Sunday and is being held at Northampton County Prison in lieu of bail, court records indicated. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 30.
