The U.S. Senate race in Pennsylvania remains too close to call.
Democratic incumbent Bob Casey and Republican challenger Dave McCormick have been locked in a tight race for hours as counties continue to tabulate votes. The GOP candidate had a slight lead early Wednesday morning.
The Republicans have already gained control of the U.S. Senate, with or without a McCormick victory. The GOP flipped two seats in Ohio and West Virginia, handing the party a 51-seat majority.
As the votes are counted, watch the chart below for updates. Winners are projections by the Associated Press and remain unofficial until certified by the state.
U.S. Senate in Pa.: Bob Casey vs. Dave McCormick
If the table below is not displaying correctly, you can view the election results here.
A Casey win wouldn't change the Senate outcome, but it would keep the U.S. Senate delegation from Pennsylvania completely Democratic. His colleague Sen. John Fetterman will not face reelection until 2028.
A McCormick victory would deliver the former hedge fund CEO his first elected office. He made an unsuccessful bid for the Republican nomination in Pennsylvania's 2022 U.S. Senate race, losing the primary to Dr. Mehmet Oz who in turn lost to Fetterman in the general election.
