Local whiskey lovers now have a shot at purchasing some limited-release liquors, including aged bourbons from Kentucky's Buffalo Trace distillery.
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board is hosting an online lottery, which will give state residents 21 and older, as well as liquor license holders, the opportunity to purchase one of 3,919 bottles of rare whiskeys. The drawing closes on Friday, May 5 at 5 p.m., state liquor officials said.

The lottery features 11 different liquors, each with a separate drawing. You can enter one, a few or all of these drawings, but if you win any of them, your name will be removed from the other lotteries. The PLCB is strictly limiting purchases to one bottle per entrant.
The two most expensive bottles featured are the Parker's Heritage Straight Whiskey Double Barreled Blend at $174.99, and the Van Winkle Special Reserve Straight Bourbon 12 Year Old at $99.99.
The Van Winkle Special Reserve Straight Bourbon is also the rarest of the liquors, with just one bottle available. The odds are much better for the Stagg Straight Bourbon Barrel Proof, which is the most available liquor with 1,529 bottles for individual consumers and 509 bottles for licensees.
