The University of Pennsylvania, Rutgers University and Pennsylvania State University are all among the nation's best colleges for mobile dating, according to a new survey of 1,000 mobile daters by The Grade.
In its first list of the top colleges for online dating, The Grade, a mobile dating application targeted toward young females, examined the 25 colleges with the greatest number of members on its app. The colleges were broken down by message quality, response rate and profile quality in order to determine the overall grade and rank.
Penn ranked No. 9 on the list, with an overall grade of A-minus. According to the stats, Penn students respond to messages 50 percent of the time.
Penn was followed by Rutgers, which also received an A-minus. However, it fell into the top three schools with the lowest message quality, with 8.6 percent of messages containing slang or inappropriate words.
Penn State came in at No. 13 with a B-plus. The university received a 59 percent response rate overall.
Hofstra University ranked No. 1 with an A-plus grade.
