Beat the summer heat by treating yourself to an ice-cold glass of refreshing peachy tea. All you need to make this low-calorie beverage is a sliced peach, a couple of tea bags, sugar, and water.
Peachy Tea — makes 5 servings
Ingredients:
• ½ cup of sugar
• ½ cup of water
• 1 ripe peach, thinly sliced
• 2 black tea bags brewed in 4 cups of water
Directions:
- In a small saucepan, boil sugar, peach, and 1/2 cup water. Reduce heat and crush peaches to infuse flavor. Cover, remove from heat, and let steep for 25 minutes.
- Pour simple syrup over mesh strainer. Can add to tea or serve on the side to use to preference. Serve tea over ice.
