Imagine a pack of puppies scampering past your car.
To some, it may sound like a dream, but for drivers on the Pennsylvania Turnpike early Wednesday morning, it was more like a nightmare.
According to NBC10, at around 5:15 a.m., a van carrying 79 puppies en route to New Jersey pet stores crashed in the eastbound lanes of the Pennsylvania Turnpike between the Willow Grove and Street Road exits.
NBC10 reported that the animals were quickly rounded up, but two died. It was not immediately known if any more of the dogs were injured in the wreck.
The dogs are being held at the Bucks County SPCA and are not up for adoption.
