Philly Wine Week, now in its fourth year, will kick off with Opening Corks on March 19. This year, the event will be held at a museum, where guests can explore exhibits with a glass of pinot in hand.
Tickets to attend the wino event at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University are now available, starting at $52 per person.
More than 100 world-class wines will be poured, but rare varieties of red and white aren't the only thing to look forward to at Opening Corks.
Local chefs will offer light bites. Expect to see dishes from The Good King Tavern, Tria, Di Bruno Bros., American Sardine Bar and South Philly Taproom, along with cheese from Birchrun Hills Farm and The Farm at Doe Run.
For those with a sweet tooth, there will be a dessert bar by Whole Foods Market.
After grabbing food and drink, attendees can mingle throughout the venue. Both "Dinosaur Hall" and "Butterflies!," two of the museum's signature exhibits, will be open.
Philly Wine Week 2017 will run Sunday, March 19, through Sunday, March 26.
