If you’ve been on social media in the past week or so, you’ve likely stumbled upon at least one very pregnant giraffe. But maybe two.
The first is an actual giraffe, named April, who is the focus of a viral livestreaming video awaiting her delivery.
The livestream started up on Feb. 22, and as of Thursday morning, there was still no sign of the estimated 6-foot-tall, 150-pound cherub out of the Animal Adventure Park in upstate New York.
The second is Erin Dietrich, a South Carolina woman who spoofed the giraffe’s bump watch by posting a video on Facebook of herself, also very pregnant, donning a giraffe mask.
Dietrich’s video also went viral, and she now has news:
So, yeah, no pressure, April.
Congrats to the giraffe mask wearing mom for giving birth to her new son! Maybe I will be next... pic.twitter.com/QoL8AQo2vC
