One arrest made in connection to SEPTA brawl

Teen arrested after violent brawl at BSL Spring Garden station

A brawl broke out at the Spring Garden station of the Broad Street Line on Tuesday afternoon.

After SEPTA officials announced they had made excellent progress in their investigation of a violent brawl that occurred Tuesday afternoon at the Spring Garden station on the Broad Street Line, an arrest was made on Saturday.

According to NBC10, police have arrested 18-year-old Andrzei Bodziak and charged him with criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault, simple assault, carrying a firearm without a license, and other related offenses.

Police say Bodziak was involved in the fight that broke out and was captured on surveillance video. Authorities responded to the scene after the fight ended and were unable to immediately identify those involved, though SEPTA sources suggested that some of the suspects may be students at Benjamin Franklin High School. The School District of Philadelphia was assisting in the investigation.

Police are reportedly still looking for three additional suspects involved in the brawl.
