A Philadelphia woman wanted by police for an alleged assault sent two pit bulls chasing after police who showed up at her home in Olney on Sunday before barricading herself inside.
According to NBC 10, officers went to a home on the 5200 block of Westford Road at around 5:00 p.m. in an attempt to apprehend the woman, who they allege assaulted her husband.
The woman then released the two pit bulls on the officers and barricaded herself inside.
The officers were not harmed by the dogs and were able to enter the home at around 6:45 p.m., but did not find her inside. Two dogs found inside the home were taken to the Animal Care and Control Team of Philadelphia.
The woman remains on the loose.
