Olive Garden is known for its free, endless breadsticks.
Now, the restaurant has announced that it will use the beloved menu item to make sandwiches.
"It wasn't about getting rid of the breadsticks," Starboard Value investor Jeff Smith told Wall Street Week hosts Gary Kaminsky and Anthony Scaramucci on Sunday. "It was about reinstating discipline."
Starboard Value has a stake in Olive Garden's parent company, Darden Restaurants, Business Insider reports.
