If you were planning on making a bid on a baseball bat signed by Phillies prospect Mickey Moniak — listed at $149.99 on eBay, plus $14.95 shipping — don't.
It isn't actually signed by the 18-year-old slugger, whom the Phillies took with the No. 1 overall pick in last year's MLB draft.
How do we know this? Moniak said so himself on Twitter Thursday night:
#Autograph #SignED #Philadelphia #Phillies MICKEY MONIAK 2016 #1 PICK GAME USED BAT PROOF COA https://t.co/cv8wuNjvuE #Original #Deal

Fellow Phillies prospect Dylan Cozens teased Moniak about his PSA to fans:
@MickeyMoniak come on dude we know you swing tee ball quality Louisville sluggers

@MickeyMoniak 😂 as long as you keep swinging em like they say MVP who cares 😉

Moniak, currently with the Low-A Lakewood BlueClaws, comes into his first full season with the Phillies organization with high expectations — and a keen eye for scammers, apparently.
