Authorities in Bridgeton are seeking assistance from the public to locate an "extremely dangerous" 18-year-old man who allegedly fired a shotgun at a group of people sitting on a porch last week, officials said.
Investigators are searching for Brian Pineda on pending aggravated assault and weapons charges connected to an August 25 shooting on the unit block of Marian Street.
According to police, Pineda fired multiple rounds at the victims before fleeing through an alleyway and escaping in a tan Nissan Quest registered in Pennsylvania.
The conditions of the victims were not immediately revealed.
Pineda is described as 6'1'' and 250 pounds.
"Bridgeton detectives would just love to have a chat with him, so perhaps you all could help us arrange that," the police department said Sunday in a statement on Facebook.
Anyone who encounters Pineda is advised not to interact with him as he is considered armed.
Those with information are asked to contact Lt. Rick Pierce at 856-451-0033. Anonymous tips can be sent by texting BRIDGETON in the subject field to #847411. The latter option is completely confidential.
