Nineteen guns stolen from shop in Delaware County

Security cameras show three or four suspects involved in the heist

A total of 19 guns were stolen early on Thursday morning from a gun shop in Delaware County after police say three or four men broke in carried out a heist in under two minutes.

According to NBC 10, police said the men smashed a front window to gain access to the The Suburban Armory in Collingdale. They then shattered a glass display at the counter and proceeded to take several guns. Only a security cable prevented the suspects from getting away with rifles.

Surveillance cameras caught two cars leaving after the incident, one of them a cream-colored, older model sedan and the other a burgundy Pontiac minivan. A witness at the scene told police that the minivan's plate included "Y-Z," NBC 10 reports.

Collingdale Police Chief Robert Adams said investigators were able to retrieve DNA evidence from the counter inside the shop, which they hope will help lead them to the suspects.

This is the third time since 2008 that The Suburban Armory has been targeted by robbers.
