On Thanksgiving Day, there were two very important games to the Philadelphia Eagles, and both went the Birds' way. On Friday, we re-calculated the Eagles' remaining games, playoff odds, and draft position.
With the NFC East title way out of reach at this point in the season, we turn our attention to the Eagles' chances of qualifying for a wild-card. Here are the wild-card standings, for your convenience:
Wildcard | Record | Div. | Conf. | Games back |
5 - Giants | 7-3 | 2-1 | 5-3 | - |
6 - Redskins | 6-4-1 | 2-2 | 4-3 | - |
7 - Vikings | 6-5 | 1-3 | 4-5 | 0.5 |
8 - Buccaneers | 5-5 | 2-1 | 4-3 | 1 |
9 - Eagles | 5-5 | 0-3 | 3-5 | 1 |
10 - Cardinals | 4-5-1 | 2-1-1 | 3-3-1 | 1.5 |
There are plenty of games to watch today from a wild-card perspective. The full slate of games:

From the "looking up" perspective, the Eagles would benefit from losses by the Giants (not happening) and Buccaneers (who kind of came out of nowhere to pass Philly). From the "looking behind" perspective, the Eagles could use a little breathing room with losses by the Cardinals, Saints, and Panthers.
And then, of course, old friend Matt Barkley is starting at quarterback for the Bears today. That's must-see TV, obviously.
