But first, we'll have to get through the afternoon game appetizers before the main course.
There are two games of high interest to the Eagles and their chances of earning the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs. The first is the Minnesota Vikings at the Atlanta Falcons. The Vikings are presently the Eagles' biggest threat to home field advantage throughout the playoffs, as they sit just one game behind Philly at 9-2. If the the Vikings were to win, coupled with an Eagles loss, they would hold the tiebreaker over the Eagles.
In the later games, the 8-3 Carolina Panthers will head to New Orleans to take on the 8-3 Saints. The Saints beat the Panthers earlier this year, so if they could pull off a sweep, they would be in a very dominant position in the NFC South. That game could have major seeding implications in the NFC playoffs.
