Howie Roseman likes to make trades.
And the city of Philadelphia is here for it. After making some really smart and blockbuster moves in 2022 — including ones that brought Jordan Davis, A.J. Brown and another first round pick to Philly — there is little doubt he'll make some kind of splash during or around the 2023 NFL Draft at the end of April.
We've already taken a deep dive into Roseman's recent first round "trade up, trade down" decisions (thanks Jimmy).
We also have already looked several times at a sampling of mock drafts from so called experts across the NFL.
But what about trades?
Here's a look at some of the draft-related Eagles trades that sportswriters expect the Birds to contemplate over the next few weeks.

Cardinals get: Pick 10 overall (2023), Pick 30 overall (2023), 2nd rounder (2024)

Let's start with the zany. What is the likelihood the Eagles will trade up to the third pick to take a non quarterback with so many QB challenged teams out there? Probably slim. But that didn't keep CBS's Cody Benjamin from including it among five potential trades the Eagles might make. From Benjamin:
But only three teams besides the Eagles can offer multiple Day 1 picks this year. Haason Reddick is an All-Pro in his prime and Josh Sweat remains underrated, but Brandon Graham is 35 and Roseman is always interested in restocking the pass-rush. A jump this far would enable the Eagles to get the consensus top edge presence in this class: Alabama's Will Anderson Jr., who's drawn DeMarcus Ware comparisons. Anderson has the tools to line up at defensive end or linebacker, and the fact Philly owns an extra 2024 second-rounder makes the projected price tag very palatable. [CBS Sports]

Broncos get: Pick 30 overall (2023)
Mel Kiper's latest mock has the Eagles sticking at 10 overall and taking offensive lineman Peter Skoronski from Northwestern, but he doesn't think they stick around to pick at No. 30. He thinks they get two picks on Day 2 from Denver.
There’s a ton of value in trading back into Round 1 to take a player to get his fifth-year option. We’ve seen it twice with quarterbacks in the past decade, with the Ravens trading up for Lamar Jackson (2018) and the Vikings doing it for Teddy Bridgewater (2014). Teams want to have that controllable fifth season. That’s exactly what this deal is for the Seahawks, who might have competition to move up. [ESPN]

Raiders get: Pick 10 overall, 2nd rounder (2024)
Here's another trade up — with this one, the Eagles will be using their new pick to nab coveted pass rusher Jalen Carter. The price seems reasonable, as NBC's Mike Mulhern thinks it'll only cost them a second next year, the pick they got from the Saints.
They make the move up three spots in an attempt to recreate the 2021 Georgia defense. Carter, much like his former teammate Jordan Davis, doesn’t have the eye-popping stats (just 3.0 sacks in each of the last two seasons), but it’s evident how much he can impact the game from the inside. Roseman sends out the Saints 2nd rounder in 2024 to complete the deal with the Raiders. [NBC Sports]

Vikings get: Pick 10 overall (2023)
Eagles fans will sign up for this one every day of the week. In Chad Reuter's elaborate four-round mock, the Birds send 10 overall to Minnesota where the Vikings pick Will Levis, a quarterback who'd eventually replace Kirk Cousins. Roseman lands 23 overall in exchange, which he uses to draft Northwestern defensive tackle Adetomiwa Adebawore. He also gets them a second first rounder for 2024. Interestingly, Reuter has the Birds trading 30 overall as well, which is trade reflected just below.

Eagles get: 2nd rounder (2023), 4th rounder (2023), 3rd rounder (2024)
Raiders get: Pick 30 overall (2023)
Jimmy Garoppolo isn't the long term answer at quarterback for Los Angeles, and according to this mock trade, the team uses the Eagles 30th overall pick — their second first rounder — to lock up a quarterback for a fifth year option, like the Ravens did with Lamar Jackson a few years ago. Heavy's Mike Gregor thinks Herndon Hooker from Tennessee is the Raiders' pick.

Eagles get: Pick 14 overall (2023), Pick 76 overall (2023), Pick 107 overall (2023)
Patriots get: Pick 10 overall (2023)
As it currently stands, the Eagles have no picks between rounds four and six. It would be surprising if they don't acquire a pick or two over that span. Delaware Online's Martin Frank sees them getting a pass rusher and some more ammo for Howie with this trade:
An edge rusher at No. 14 in Smith fits a need for rotational depth this season, with a chance to have a prominent role in 2024. That's becuase both Brandon Graham and Derek Barnett are entering the final year of their contracts. Sort of like the role Smith's Georgia teammate Davis had in 2022 learning behind veterans before taking over in Year 2. Smith is considered a Haason Reddick-type player. He ran a 4.39 40-yard dash at the combine. Smith is coming off a torn pec muscle that limited him to eight games last season. [Delaware Online]
