I don’t know about you, but I’m just about done with the Philly heat this summer.
I just can’t do it. Not one more excessive heat warning. Not one more day of sweat-inducing swelter from merely walking a few blocks in sun. Not one more “How to stay cool” article on Facebook.
No more.
Unfortunately, it looks like we might as well get used to it right now because Dante has seemingly taken over the city. A real-feel temperature of 108 degrees is forecast for Tuesday, continuing an already drawn out heat warning.
But fortunately, The Old Farmer’s Almanac says that next summer won’t be as hot.
The Old Farmer’s Almanac has been around since George Washington’s first term as president and brands itself as “North America’s oldest continuously published periodical.”
Now whether you believe in its accuracy is a different story, but right now, it seems like begging and pleading for Mother Nature to reward us for surviving this summer with a cool one next year maybe our only hope.
