For the cross-section of fans who both bleed green and argue that Han Solo shot first, Monday night was a treat.
With the Eagles leading against the New York Giants 17-7 at halftime, the new and final trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens debuted.
A bit more is revealed than what is given in the first two trailers. For example, Adam Driver's Sith character is more explicitly defined as the successor to Darth Vader. Also, John Boyega's character is pretty clearly a Jedi, or a Jedi in training, as he can be seen yielding a lightsaber (something that was also seen in a 15-second teaser released on Star Wars' Instagram a month ago).
Plus, there are plenty of action shots of the Millennium Flacon, Tie Fighters, X-Wings, and a whole lot more. Watch the trailer here:
Pre-sale tickets also went on sale Monday night for the film's premier at a number of the nation's theaters.
