It's been almost a year since Pizzeria Beddia, the Fishtown shop that was proclaimed by Bon Appétit as making the best pizza in America, closed its doors with the promise of a newer, bigger location.
Now it looks like the countdown is truly on for the opening Pizzeria Beddia 2.0, which also will be located in Fishtown. Chef/owner Joe Beddia has been documenting updates on Instagram – including a clue that the store will be on Front Street near West Thompson Street.
Now, in one of Beddia's latest posts, the chef shows off the shop's newly installed ovens, sending out a call for line cooks and pizza makers for hire.

Beddia also put a call out for a sous chef a few days ago.
The new space will be a departure from the original Pizzeria Beddia, which had no seating, was cash only, and served just 40 pies a day – all created by Beddia himself. In previous interviews, Beddia said the new shop will have about 100 seats.
"I’m not going to be cooking all the pizzas. To be perfectly honest, I don’t think I’m gonna cook one pizza," he told Medium last year.
Is that where you come in? Perhaps. Nonetheless, be sure to follow Beddia's Instagram for glimpses of the new restaurant, which is projected for an early spring opening.
