Grab a beer at The Lodge at Winterfest.
So what's the deal? All seasonal draft beers are half price, and the delicious shorty fries, topped with braised short rib and house cheddar sauce, are just $5. That doesn't sound like a great deal for fries, but they are Jose Garces fries, and you will love them.
In fact, Garces Events heads up all the food and drink at Winterfest, so bites from Village Burger at the Lodge, the Distrito Cantina food truck and the Fireside Cafe also will be available. That means you can find everything from a Mexican hot dog and Garces' signature Village Queen double burger to a do-it-yourself s'mores kit and spiced cider. If you're in the mood for a light snack, the three-bean and beef chili is insanely good.
Winterfest will be open until March 1 and features outdoor ice skating, light shows, warm bonfires and games. Bring the whole family or your group of friends. Just make sure to buy skating tickets in advance; weekend sessions tend to sell out.
