National Constitution Center hosts Presidents Day party

Plus, a new exhibit opens

Over Presidents Day weekend, the Constitution Center will host a range of family-friendly activities. Plus, just in time for the holiday weekend, the museum's newest feature exhibition, "Headed to the White House," will open. The hands-on exhibit takes visitors from the campaign trail to Inauguration Day all in one visit.

Guests can check out the new exhibition while enjoying special programming all weekend long.

In the main lobby, there will be craft tables set up where guests can make George Washington and Abraham Lincoln hats and campaign buttons, as well as a themed show and a presidential dress-up game.

Then, in the main exhibition hall, there will be a presidential quiz game, where participants will need to race against the clock to answer questions, and also a tour.

While guests can enjoy those programs all weekend long, there will be special events on Washington's birthday, Feb. 15, along with free admission to the Constitution Center.

Kids 12 and under can join in a presidential costume contest from 9:30 a.m. to noon by coming dressed as their favorite president. The most original costume, as judged by a panel of presidential re-enactors, will be awarded a family membership to the Constitution Center.

At noon there will also be a kids town hall meeting where Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt will make an appearance.
