As the year winds down, Uber is offering a look at the most requested Uber destinations across the country, including the top destinations within Philadelphia.
In state-by-state rankings of the most visited destinations, Philadelphia was overshadowed, ever so slightly, by PNC Park in Pittsburgh. Second to PNC Park? The Philadelphia Museum of Art, which ranked as both the second most visited Uber destination in Pennsylvania and first place in the city.

In New Jersey, the highest ranking Uber destination was Harrah’s Resort Hotel & Casino -- people do love their pool nightclubs -- even if they’re outside of walking distance from AC’s main drag.
Philly’s most Ubered destinations shared some overlap with Lyft’s end-of-year stats, including the Wells Fargo Center, which ranked No. 2 for all of local Uber rides and proclaimed the “Most Visited Event Venue” by Lyft.
Reading Terminal Market, which Lyft proclaimed 2017’s “Only in Philadelphia” destination, ranked No. 6 for Uber trips this year.
Here’s the full Top 10 ranking, according to Uber:
- Philadelphia Museum of Art -- Though second to Pittsburgh (we demand a recount), the expansive art collection is Philly’s favorite. Should we thank Art After 5, or should we thank the Rocky Statue?
- Wells Fargo Center -- Whether to see the Flyers, Sixers, or Jay-Z, the Center’s high ranking comes as no surprise. It’s also a pain to get to if the Broad Street Line is acting up.
- XFINITY Live! -- Same draw here as Wells Fargo Center. Sports, concerts and seasonal festivals make it a top spot, and it’s far south enough that you can talk yourself into Ubering there.
- Morgan’s Pier -- Parking is a pain and it can be an annoying walk there from the nearest SEPTA spot, so, thus Uber.
- Lincoln Financial Field -- Between the Eagles and Temple football, the Linc comes as no surprise.
- Reading Terminal Market -- It’s a tourist favorite and a local favorite, and soon, there will be alcohol.
- Citizens Bank Park -- Again, sports! Balls!
- Frankford Hall -- Who wouldn’t want to Uber to Stephen Starr’s beer garden paradise in Fishtown? You certainly shouldn’t be driving.
- Independence Beer Garden -- The seasonal pop-up does well to lure tourists seeking out Philly historical sites and Center City Sippers alike.
- McGillin’s Olde Ale House -- Philly’s oldest continually running bar, home of 35-cent wings, is doing well for itself.
