Snow will accumulate across much of the region on Wednesday, with forecasters warning there could be significant impact on the evening commute.
According to the National Weather Service, the precipitation should arrive after 2 p.m., with a mix of rain and snow for a time mainly south and east of Philadelphia. North and west of the city should be mostly snow.
There is a 50 percent chance of snow during the day, but that rises to 80 percent on Wednesday night. The high temperature will be 35, and the low will be 27.
About 2-3 inches of snow are expected. NWS says some uncertainty remains on how the storm will set up and, therefore, who figures to get the most snow.
The snow will stop by 11 p.m. for most of the area.
The forecast for Tuesday: Partly sunny in the morning, then becoming mostly cloudy. Highs around 40. Northwest winds, 5 to 10 mph. The night will bring mostly cloudy skies with Lows in the lower 30s. North winds around 5 mph.
