While a Montgomery County teen was cleared of measles over the weekend, a Lancaster County case is being investigated.

Blood work to confirm whether the Lancaster County resident has measles has been sent to a CDC lab in Atlanta, NBC Philadelphia said.

Meanwhile, Montgomery County Health Department officials announced Sunday that a Montgomery County teenager who was suspected of potentially having Measles does not have the contagious disease, NBC 10 reports.

According to officials, the teen did receive a vaccine and specimens collected confirmed that he has immunity to the disease. Per NBC 10:

"We are extremely relieved that there is currently no public health threat in Montgomery County from measles, and I compliment the staff in the Montgomery County Department of Health and the state Department of Health for the professional manner in which they handled this case," said Josh Shapiro, Chair, Montgomery County Commissioners.

Cases of Measles have been popping up around the country, prompting a national discussion on parents' option to vaccinate their children and efforts to curb instances of the contagious disease.
