Philadelphia is one of a handful of cities to host pop star Miley Cyrus and her unusual companions, indie rock veterans The Flaming Lips, as a part of her upcoming tour.
Cyrus announced her tour in an appearance on The Tonight Show Thursday and revealed the details on Saturday.
Promoting her new album "Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Pets," released in August, the singer will perform at the Electric Factory on Dec. 5.
She will stop at only five other cities on her tour: Chicago, Detroit, D.C., New York, and Boston.
Tickets will go on sale on the Electric Factory's website on Oct. 7.
Cyrus hosted the season premiere of "Saturday Night Live" the night her concert dates were announced, taking the gig for the third time in her career and even appearing in a sketch with presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
During her monologue she joked about her public perception and marijuana use, then sang a song addressing several figures who appeared in the news cycle this past summer while the show was off.
