Madeline Gaudreau, the widow of Matthew Gaudreau, delivered the couple's first child Sunday — four months after Matthew and his brother, NHL star Johnny Gaudreau, were killed by an alleged drunk driver while riding bicycles in South Jersey.

In an Instagram post, Madeline Gaudreau shared a photo of her holding the newborn's hand with the caption "Tripp Matthew. Mommy & Daddy's world." Matthew Gaudreau, 29, was a former minor league hockey player and the younger brother of Johnny, 31, who spent 11 seasons in the NHL with the Calgary Flames and Columbus Blue Jackets.

The brothers grew up in Carneys Point Township and played hockey at Gloucester Catholic High School, where Matthew later coached the men's team. They were killed Aug. 29 after Sean Higgins allegedly struck them from behind while trying to pass two cars on Pennsville Auburn Road in Oldman Township, Salem County.

The crash happened the day before the brothers were to serve as groomsmen in their sister's wedding.

Friends, family and fans have raised nearly $900,000 for Madeline and her baby through a GoFundMe set up in the fall.

During the Gaudreau brothers' funeral in September, Meredith Gaudreau, the widow of Johnny, revealed that she was pregnant with their third child. She said she had learned she was pregnant about a week before Johnny's death.

Higgins, 43, was indicted by a grand jury earlier this month on two counts of second-degree reckless vehicular homicide, two counts of first-degree aggravated manslaughter, one count of tampering with evidence and one count of leaving the scene of a fatal accident. The indictment came days after New Jersey State Police released body camera footage of his arrest.

Higgins is an officer in the Army National Guard who had been working for an addiction services provider in Pennsylvania. Police said he had a blood alcohol content of 0.087% on the night of the crash. New Jersey's limit is 0.08%.
