On Oct. 9, Philadelphia Photo Arts Center held its annual Greater Philly Photo Day, encouraging anyone with a camera to capture a day in the life of Philadelphia. Participants submitted their photos to PPAC in order to create one giant bird's eye view of the city over 24 hours. Over 1,400 photos were submitted and now they can all be viewed in one place at the PPAC Gallery.
Beginning Thursday, Nov. 12 the PPAC Gallery will host all of the photos, alphabetically arranged, for the public to see. The amazing exhibit will be open through Saturday, Jan. 2, offering a completely random and honest look at the city's people.
Three of the photos -- taken by Alex Djordjevic, Paul Drzal and Steven Huang -- were chosen to be splashed across SEPTA station posters as advertisements for the exhibit. Djordjevic's, above, captures a bright commuter moment.
All of the photos can be viewed in an online gallery where guests can buy prints of the submissions for $25. A geotagged map shows where each one was taken, too.
